Value Flow Solution Architecture

When systems don’t talk, value gets lost. This diagnostic helps you visualise how your core platforms — Systems of Record, Work, and Engagement — interact across your transformation ecosystem. The output: a reference architecture that shows where flow is enabled, blocked, or simply invisible.

How this tool works

Who it’s for:

Ideal for CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Transformation, Enterprise Architects, and Change Leaders seeking clarity on how tooling supports — or hinders — end-to-end value flow.

What it does:

This tool guides you through identifying key platforms used across your organisation — categorised as Systems of Record (SoRs), Systems of Work (SoWs), and Systems of Engagement (SoEs). You’ll assess how these tools interact, what data flows between them, and where integration is missing or manual.

How it works:

We walk you through a structured diagnostic, asking you to map the flow of value-related information between tools. At the end, you receive a Value Flow Reference Architecture — a visual artefact that highlights integration gaps, duplication, and high-friction handoffs.

Why it’s different:

This isn’t an IT architecture review or software selection exercise. It’s a business-first view of your tooling landscape, grounded in how value is delivered and realised — not just where data lives.

Why we built this tool

Most organisations have invested heavily in platforms — from Oracle and SAP to Jira, ServiceNow, Clarity, Salesforce, and Workday. But those systems often operate in silos, with clunky integrations, duplicated manual entry, and limited visibility into how work connects to strategic outcomes.

The Value Flow Solution Architecture was built to address a simple but pervasive issue: how do you know where value is flowing — or not — across your toolset?

Inspired by the Transformation Delivery Framework (TDF) and Value Management Framework (VMF), this tool helps you:

  • Identify the invisible gaps where tooling breaks the chain of insight and action
  • Understand where your Systems of Record, Engagement, and Work reinforce or conflict with each other
  • Prioritise where to integrate, automate, or streamline to accelerate decisions and reduce handoffs

You’ll come away with:

  • A practical, visual map of your tooling ecosystem
  • A clear sense of where flow is broken or blurred
  • The confidence to take action — whether it’s an integration, simplification, or governance shift

Because when your tools don’t connect, neither does your strategy, execution, or value.
